Parker Jewish Institute’s patients/residents stayed cool and vibrant, during last week’s heat wave. They kept indoors, enjoying a series of interactive programs hosted by Parker’s Therapeutic Recreation Department. Through the virtual magic of Nintendo Wii, patients/residents played a competitive game of baseball. Playing Wii sports is a physical activity, and in the comfort of Parker’s air-conditioned facility, can help patients/residents improve cognitive function as well as hand-eye coordination.
