Parker Celebrates Holi

Monday, March 17, 2025

On Wednesday, March 12, 2025, the Parker Jewish Institute hosted its annual Holi celebration. Holi – also known as the Festival of Colors or Festival of Love – is a Hindu holiday, which honors the divine love between the God Krishna and Goddess Radha.

Hosted in the auditorium, patients/residents, and families, both Hindu and non-Hindu, joined together in prayer and celebration. The festivities included poetic readings, music, and dance performances as in Garba and Dhol – Bhangra! Parker’s food service team provided traditional Indian snacks such as delectable Carrot Halwa, Samosa and Gulab jamun.
