Bingo at Parker

Monday, December 9, 2024

Bingo is a fun and exciting game of chance, which originated in Italy and was popularized by a New York toy salesman, Edwin S. Lowe, after he discovered it in 1929. It is a game that Parker Jewish Institute patients/residents love to play.

This nostalgic, socially interactive game stimulates the mind, as it relies on listening to and then remembering the numbers, that were already announced. Bingo players also exercise hand-eye coordination, as they search for and place chips on appropriate squares. At Parker, Bingo winners receive a lottery ticket for another game of luck!
