Meaningful Internships at Parker
Monday, September 16, 2024
This year, two talented university students, Sarah Kohls and Seth Rubin, were selected to participate in an in-depth summer internship program at Parker. The intensive multi-department hands-on internship, provided both interns with a comprehensive understanding of the many intricate operational procedures in post-acute for adults.
Both Seth and Sarah found the program rewarding. Sarah emphasized the program's focus, which she said "is designed to give undergraduate and graduate students the opportunity to have real-world experience with aging services." Seth, who enjoyed working with Parker's Therapeutic Recreation Department, stated, “I had a wonderful experience at Parker and learned a lot from getting to work with all the different departments. My favorite part about Parker was getting to work with so many passionate/wise people and trying to learn as much from them as possible.”
Sarah attends Clarkson University, and Seth is currently attending George Washington University. Parker team members are delighted to have played a pivotal role in Sarah and Seth’s professional development and look forward to hearing about their future accomplishments.
