All volunteers who complete a Prospective Volunteer form will be contacted for an interview with the Director of Volunteer Services. Those who meet the requirements and are interested in moving forward will receive an application package. Once your application is completed and submitted, you will be required to attend an orientation. Orientations are only given twice a month.
It takes about four weeks to be completely processed and ready to volunteer.
The minimum time commitment is 4 hours a week, for a total of 75 hours of service (approximately four months of service).
If you do not meet the minimum hour requirement, we will not be able to write and or provide you with a confirmation of service letter or sign any paperwork to confirm your completion of volunteer service.
Yes. Summer volunteers must commit to at least eight hours a week for at least seven weeks.
The minimum age to volunteer is 15 years of age and at least in the 9th grade.
Yes. You will be volunteering in a place of business and in someone’s home. With that in mind, business casual clothing is required. You will not be allowed to wear jeans, sweatpants, leggings, shorts, non-collared shirts (t-shirts), open toe shoes or sandals, sheer clothing.
Ability to read, write and speak English is required.
Shadowing is outside the scope of the volunteer role.
