On March 5, 2012, Lakeville Ambulette Transportation, LLC transferred ten children from Elizabeth Seton Pediatric Center, from the Center's location on 16th Street in Manhattan to their new home in Yonkers. Elizabeth Seton is a facility that provides medical, nursing and rehabilitation care to medically fragile children.
Lakeville Ambulette Transportation, LLC, an affiliated division of the Parker Jewish Institute for Health Care and Rehabilitation, serves the residents of Parker as well as the communities and nursing homes of New York City and Long Island. Lakeville is often called upon to assist in particularly challenging medical transportation assignments. In 2011, Lakeville provided a total of 36,813 trips, including 115 trips to transport nursing home residents and elderly in Queens, Long Island, Brooklyn and Manhattan to safety during the dangerous hours of Hurricane Irene.
